Jimmy "The Weasel" Fratianno was a mobster in the American Mafia, known for his involvement in organized crime activities in the Los Angeles area. Fratianno was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1913 and became a member of the Los Angeles crime family, also known as the "Mickey Cohen Crime Family."

Fratianno was known for his skills as a hitman and enforcer within the mob, earning the nickname "The Weasel" due to his slippery and cunning nature. He was involved in various criminal activities, including extortion, loan sharking, and murder.

In 1981, Fratianno became a government informant, testifying against numerous members of the Mafia and providing key information that led to the convictions of several high-ranking mobsters. As a result of his cooperation with law enforcement, Fratianno entered the Witness Protection Program and changed his identity to Jimmy "The Toucan" Peters.

Fratianno published an autobiography titled "The Last Mafioso" in 1980, detailing his life as a mobster and his decision to turn informant. He passed away in 1993, leaving behind a complicated legacy as a former mobster turned government witness.
